Launch Day Help

Call of Duty won't launch? Try this first.

Hi Friend, Modern Warfare 4 goes live with advanced access on 2026-10-16. The error that stops the most people on launch day is the same one our support team sees every week: TPM attestation and Secure Boot.

Three steps, five minutes, and you are in the lobby.

The three steps our team walks you through

STEP 1

Check Windows first

Press Windows key + R, type tpm.msc and press Enter. If it says "Compatible TPM cannot be found," the chip is turned off in BIOS, not missing. In another Run box, type msinfo32 and look for "Secure Boot State." If it reads Off, that is step two.

STEP 2

Turn on TPM and Secure Boot in BIOS

Restart and tap Delete (or F2) to enter BIOS. On AMD boards, enable AMD fTPM or AMD CPU fTPM. On Intel boards, enable PTT (Platform Trust Technology). Then under Boot, set Secure Boot to Enabled and OS Type to Windows UEFI. Save and exit.

STEP 3

Confirm, then launch

Back in Windows, run msinfo32 again. Secure Boot State should read On and BIOS Mode should read UEFI. Open Settings, Windows Update, and install anything pending. Launch the game. The attestation check runs again and clears.
