YSSO was founded by mother-daughter duo, Alexia and Stalo Karides, with the shared vision of modern jewellery with ancient beginnings.

As a celebration of balance and harmony, our work is defined by the rich history and natural beauty of Greece.

We draw inspiration from our country's diverse landscape, incorporating elements from the sea, mountains, and flora, and partner exclusively with Athenian workshops in order to highlight ancient Greek jewellery making and goldsmithing techniques.

GREEK CRAFTSMANSHIP

Craftsmanship is at the very heart of YSSO. Working exclusively with one of the oldest family-run workshops in Athens dedicated to preserving Greece’s goldsmithing and traditional jewellery making techniques. Having built collections over the span of 10 years collaborating with the same workshop that we still produce at to this day, our craftsmen are at the core of our brand.

A shared vision of modern jewellery making characterizes YSSO's timeless Greek inspired design which seamlessly merge history and creativity. Cultural inspirations deriving from their Greek heritage, as well as their joined lives in France and the UK heavily influence the designs and the outlook of the brand.

YSSO aims to create a modern Greek aesthetic that speaks to lovers of design and heritage.

RESPONSIBILITY & SUSTAINABILITY

At YSSO, we are committed to minimising our environmental footprint by prioritising the use of recyclable materials throughout our production process. From the metals in our jewellery to our packaging, we carefully select materials that can be reused, repurposed or responsibly recycled. In doing so, we not only reduce waste but also contribute to a more circular and conscious design philosophy - one that honours both craftsmanship and the planet.

Both our gold and sterling silver pieces are expertly sculpted using up to 40% recycled materials. Our gold jewellery is crafted exclusively from recycled gold and double-plated with both 24 and 18 karat gold.
