WELLNESS HUB

sleep as recovery

The aim is not to instruct the body how to sleep. The body already knows. Our role is to help create the conditions that make switching off easier, more consistent and more effortless. Because recovery doesn’t begin when you fall asleep. It begins the moment you let go.

we live in a world designed to keep us switched on

For almost half of UK adults, worry and stress are getting in the way of sleep. 44% say they are a factor in struggling to drift off.* Work. Screens. Notifications. Artificial light. Even when the day ends, the stimulation doesn’t always end with it.

Sleep starts before bed. That’s why we use warmth, aroma, touch and light to create the sensory cues that help move you from day to night.

Functional Fragrance starts with the molecules. We select terpenes and sesquiterpenes for more than how they smell, using neuroscience to understand how fragrance interacts with the brain and nervous system.

have you got a sleep problem, or do you have a switching off problem?

For more than 20 years, This Works has been creating sensory rituals around one of the most important transitions of the day: the journey from wakefulness to sleep. Our neuroscience-informed products are designed to support that transition, helping prepare the mind and body for rest, recovery and deeper sleep.
