Zelenko News Feature

Sept 2nd, 2026

Weeks after Dr. Anthony Fauci humiliated himself in front of a Senate Committee hearing by refusing to answer even basic questions about his behavior during the COVID pandemic, even though he was pardoned by former President Joe Biden for any potential wrongdoing, a close associate of Fauci pleaded guilty to a federal crime.

David Morens, a longtime aide to former top government infectious disease official Anthony Fauci, pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiracy to evade federal public record laws in connection with communications about coronavirus research grants.

The plea comes three weeks after Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) grilled Fauci about his relationship with Morens. At the Senate hearing, Fauci declined to answer questions, exercising his Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination.

Like Fauci, Morens behavior has shown a complete and total disregard for the rule of law and an absolute lack of any moral compass:

Morens, 78, had boasted in a 2021 email released by the House panel that he knew how to “make emails disappear after I am FOIA’d” to avert disclosure under the federal open records law.

He entered the guilty plea in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt, Maryland, as part of a plea deal with prosecutors, according to court records.

U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis set sentencing for Nov. 12. Morens faces a maximum of five years in prison on the felony conspiracy charge and a fine of up to $250,000.

The guilty plea by Morens marks the first time anyone associated with the abject failures of the COVID pandemic response have been held accountable for any other criminal behavior. The question is, is the Morens plea the beginning of the walls closing in on Fauci or just a rare moment of justice:

Morens and other former top officials at the National Institutes of Health, including Fauci, have come under intense scrutiny in recent years from Republican lawmakers and outside groups over their decisions related to the pandemic.

One particular focus of NIH critics has been how officials there dealt with the possibility that the virus emerged from a Chinese laboratory in Wuhan, China, rather than jumping from animals to people.

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and other Republicans have accused Fauci of covering up a potential lab leak. Paul believes coronavirus research at the Wuhan lab funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which is part of NIH and which Fauci led for decades, likely sparked the pandemic.

After the Morens plea, documents were discovered that showed the Fauci had previously instructed a different aide to permanently delete emails relating to dangerous gain of function research:

Newly obtained documents reportedly show that Dr. Anthony Fauci instructed an aide to permanently delete an email concerning controversial research years before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The emails, obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, date back to 2012, when Fauci was defending experiments that made a highly dangerous strain of bird flu transmissible through the air.

Dutch virologist Ron Fouchier conducted the experiments with funding from Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

Fouchier described the resulting virus as “probably one of the most dangerous viruses you can make.”

The Government Will Not Save You

While all of us hope and pray that there will finally be some accountability, some justice, the reality is that this latest disgraceful chapter in the COVID saga is yet another reminder of the limits of the government’s ability to truly keep you safe.

Even a government led by President Donald Trump and a HHS led by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr and a Republican led Congress may not be able to deliver justice to Anthony Fauci.

The cold reality is that the government will not save you, if you learned anything at all from COVID it should be the lesson that personal responsibility is all Americans can truly rely on – especially when it comes to our broken and corrupt healthcare system.

God’s Armor – the Ultimate Defense

Throughout the COVID pandemic, Dr. Zelenko warned about unnecessary vaccines and urged people to focus on boosting their body’s natural immune systems to help protect them and keep them healthy.
