It's been a busy, sun-soaked few months here at Piglet in Bed (this summer has been one of our most exciting yet...) and I couldn't wait any longer to share a little of what we've been up to.

Gunwharf Quays Store Opening

We've opened our fourth shop, this time at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth! It's a beautiful spot near the harbour, and we've filled it with our favourite bedding and towels, as well as some archive pieces at great prices. If you're in the area, we'd love for you to pop in and say hello!

Our First EVER Book Homes for Living

It’s been a real thrill to hear from lots of you who have been enjoying our book Homes for Living. Here is a little snippet to give the rest of you a taste....

How To Be Useless To Everyone: Take A Long Bath

“The simple indulgence that is taking a long bath. Not only are baths said to reduce stress, alleviate joint and muscle ache and improve circulation, but they have the wonderful advantage of providing a blissful slice of time just for yourself.

[…] The best thing about taking a bath is that you can’t be of service to anyone once you’re in. You can’t answer the door, make a start on dinner and you certainly can’t reply to an email.”

My Little Breakfast Nook

I've also been having fun turning a tiny, awkward corner of my kitchen into a proper little breakfast nook.

It's nothing fancy, just a small table and bench, but I've dressed it up with our gingham and striped frill-edge cushions and layered our Martha tablecloth over the top, and it's honestly become my favourite spot in the house. Proof that you don't need a big kitchen to create a space that feels warm and inviting, just the right linens.

An Exciting New Chapter...

I’m very excited to let you know that Anna Donoghue has been appointed CEO of Piglet in Bed, with me moving into the role of Founder & Creative Director.

Anna joined us almost two years ago and has since become an increasingly central part of leading the business. She combines nearly 20 years of retail experience with a real belief in what Piglet can become. I feel really lucky to have found someone I trust so much and work so well with. I now get to spend even more of my time on the product, creative and storytelling I love, knowing the business is in brilliant hands.

Thank you for all your support so far this year, Piglets. We're so excited for you to see everything that's still to come, including our new Autumn/Winter collection - which is my favourite ever - so watch this space...

Lots of love,
